Getting a Commercial Pilot’s license gives you the privilege to fly persons or property for hire. In other words, you will be able to get paid to fly. Currently, there is a pilot shortage in the US and the entire world and despite the COVID-19 pandemic slowing the industry down, the FAA predicts there is still going to be a huge demand for commercial pilots in the next few years. Training Requirements?

• Must hold at least a Private Pilot’s license with an instrument rating.
• Must hold a valid medical certificate.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Minimum Aeronautical Experience

• A minimum of 250 hours total time.
• 10 hours of training in a complex airplane.
• 2 hours of dual cross country day time in VFR conditions.
• 2 hours of dual cross country night time in VFR conditions.
• A solo cross country flight of not less than 300 Nautical miles.
• 5 hours of night flight in VFR conditions.
